Webcast Summary

Senior finance leaders recognize the importance of collaborating with their counterparts in IT. The clearest indication of this trend is the priority finance executives place not only on automating activities in the realm of finance, such as the financial close, but also applying technological advances, such as those in predictive analytics, throughout their entire organizations.

Whereas during the previous two decades it was the CIO who primarily had to make the business case for investments in technology, companies have increasingly come to depend on CFOs to work with CIOs and other senior executives to identify technology investments that are essential for keeping their businesses running now, and technology investments that will enable their businesses to thrive in the future.

This Webcast will explore:

  • The latest advances in technology that finance chiefs need to know about;
  • The role of finance executives in evaluating technology;
  • How finance leaders can maintain a balance between a “keep-it-running” perspective and an “improve-the-business” perspective as they consider their organizations' priorities for investing in technology; and
  • How CFOs can collaborate effectively with other senior executives to determine which technology investments are most likely to support the growth of their organizations.
